Neuronal guidance factor netrin-1 enhances the angiogenesis induced by bone mesenchymal stem cells

Rat bone mesenchymal stem cells successfully transfected by Ad5-EGFP-Netrin-1 or Ad5-EGFP were transplanted subcutaneously to SD rats after being mixed with Matrigel plug.The protein expressions of netrin-1 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),and the microvascular density were detected after 14 and 28 days.The results showed that the protein expression of VEGF and microvascular density were increased by netrin-1 treatment.The effect was enhanced when more BMSCs transfected by Ad5-EGFP-Netrin-1 were transplanted ( all P＜0.05).
