Evaluation on the construction of functional districts in Beijing Old City

This paper firstly looks back briefly on the evolution of urban function and the evolution of construction of functional districts of Beijing old city after the founding of P.R.C.By constructing evaluation index system,it carries out an appraisal,which bases on two aspects and six impact factors that apply to the functions of 15 constructed,constructing and planed districts of Beijing old city since 1990s.The two aspects consist of the development potential of leading industries and the impact on the comprehensive protection of historic cityscape by the construction of functional districts.
