Speed dependent display of information items on a graphical user interface

Apparatus (1) with a GUI, the apparatus comprising: a processor (18); a display screen (3) with a substantially rectangular and coupled to said processor (18) contour; an input device navigation (10) coupled to said processor (18); said processor (18) configured to display a plurality of information items (43) on the display (3) being, said processor (18) configured to position information items (43) on the display screen being (3 ) as a string of information items along a path (45); said processor (18) configured to move the chain of data elements along said path in response to user input from said input device navigation (10) being; and characterized by said processor (18) is configured to change the shape of said path (45) relative to the speed at which the chain of information elements is moved along the path (45) such that said route (45) has a shape that includes only a straight sections at a rate of low or no movement of the chain of information items and said path (45) becomes curved at speeds greater movement of the chain of information elements.
