Provided are a power adjustment method and a base station. The power adjustment method includes: a first base station determining power adjustment value information about a second cell according to a signal quality threshold and signal quality information about the wireless resources in the second cell; the first base station sending the power adjustment value information about the second cell to a second base station to make the second base station adjust the transmission power of the wireless resources in the second cell according to the power adjustment value information; wherein the second cell is a neighbour of the first cell, and the first cell is controlled by the first base station while the second cell is controlled by the second base station. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, the transmission power of the wireless resources can be adjusted dynamically, so that the interference to the neighbour can be reduced and wastage of the wireless resources can be lowered.
