Total Endoscopic Thyroidectomy

Endoscopic thyroidectomy remained a certain degree of surgical difficulty. How to perform a more simple total thyroidectomy with well protection of recurrent laryngeal nerve is the key point. The author propose that by using ultrasonic scalpel could dissect thyroid more easier. The rational use of ultrasonic scalpel could achieve adequate hemostasis and better expose and protection of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. It could achieve a more rapid and complete removal of thyroid by this method. Key words: Endoscopy; Thyroidectomy
