Determination of perchlorate in drinking water by Ion chromatography

2011
Objective:To develop an assay for determination of perchlorate in drinking water by ion chromatography(IC).Methods: The method was based on the ion chromatographic separation under the condition of isocratic eluent with 0 mmol/L~40 mmol/L KOH at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min by using of the IonPAC AS23 analytical column and suppressed conductivity detector. Results:It was showed that this method had a good relativity(r=0.9998) and a good analytic precision(RSD 2.15%~5.99%).The average recoveries were 87.9%~101%,and the detection limit were 3.0 μg/L.Conclusion:Its advantages are simple operation, quickness, high sensitivity and precise results. This developed method was fast, sensitive, and accurate,it can be applied for the analysis of water samples.
