Route planning system and method thereof

The embodiments of the invention disclose a route planning system and a method thereof. The system comprises an input module, a storage module, a search module and a processing module, wherein the input module is used for receiving a start point, an end point and time information, the start point and the end point are used for determining the region range, the time information is used for determining the time, the storage module is used for storing historical highway condition information, the historical highway condition information comprises the historical highway condition of the road in the region range at the time, the search module is used for searching the event information through the network according to the region range and the time, the event occurs within the region range and the time, and the processing module is used for producing the route planning information of moving from the start point to the end point according to the historical highway condition information and the event information. With the route planning system and the method thereof, the future highway condition can be accurately predicted, and the travelling route and the optimal travelling time are planned according to the start point and the end point.
