The invention discloses a split-screen displaying method and device. The split-screen displaying method comprises the following steps that a screen splitting signal input through a touch screen is obtained; a display screen is divided into two or more display windows according to the screen splitting signal, wherein the display windows are used for displaying application programs; an adjustment and control button is displayed on the display screen, wherein the adjustment and control button is used for triggering adjustment of boundaries of the display windows or used for triggering window control buttons of the display windows to be displayed or hidden. According to the split-screen displaying method and device, control over the sizes of the display windows obtained after screen splitting and control over displaying of the application programs can be achieved simply through one adjustment and control button, the situation that in the prior art, control over the sizes of display windows and control over displaying of application programs can be achieved after a user conducts multiple steps of operation and enters various interfaces is avoided, the user can be guided to operate the adjustment and control button conveniently, and relevant functions can be achieved conveniently.
