Clinic analysis of 72 patients with the adult varicella

Objective To analysis the clinic character of the adult varicella. Methods Totally 72 patients with the adult varicella who were hospitalized in Affiliated Qingzhou hospital from January 2007 to March 2009 were enrolled in this study. The clinic data from all patients were analyzed retrospectively and to compare with 72 infant varicella patients who be random taken suction. Results Among the 72 patients enrolled in the study, The prodromal period time that exceeded two days was 87.5 % (63/72), the high body temperature greater than 39℃ was 83. 3% (60/72) ,the course of disease that was longer than seven days was 93.1% (67/72),the tetter intensive distributing was 81.9% (59/72) ,58 patients have more than of two syndromes,but the rate of the infant varicella patients were 4. 2% (3/72) ,27.8% (20/72), 18. 1% ( 13/72), 13.9% (10/72) and 25.3% (11/72) in identical period, which were significantly different from those aspects ( P < 0. 05 ). Conclusions Their prodromal period time and course of disease were longer,tetter distributing was ntensiver,clinical symptom was strikinger, the rate of syndromes was higher. Accordingly, early diagnosis, timely therapy, that can be prevent missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, aviod aggravately pathogenetic condition. Key words: Varicella; adult; clinic analysis
