IMPROVED MICROWAVE SELECTIVE DEVICES USING WEAKLY ASYMMETRIC RESONANT CAVITIES

1996
Microwave selective devices using localized close frequency modes in weakly asymmetric resonant cavities (WARC) are introduced. The splitting, coupling and resonant structures of the new microwave filters are integrated in a single cavity. Therefore, the signal losses are reduced and the selectivity is improved. The utilization of localized modes is a general new principle which raises the efficiency of a class of microwave selective devices.
