Changing Patterns of Bacterial Infections and Antibiotic Therapy

No one practicing medicine today can escape the conviction that, since the advent of the antibiotics, the treatment of the infectious diseases has become more complicated at the same time that it has become more rewarding. I am repeatedly being asked to recommend a book which could be read by practitioners and house officers to bring them up to date in this field. The symposium held at Letterman General Hospital last year and now edited by Harold Neu fills this need very well. The topics assigned to the speakers are particularly pertinent to today's needs.
