The invention provides a production method of a chrysanthemum flower cake. The production method comprises the following steps: weighing the following materials in parts by weight for later use: 100 parts of water chestnut starch, 145-155 parts of white granulated sugar, 650-750 parts of clear water, and 50-70 parts of Chuzhou chrysanthemum flower pedals; cleaning the Chuzhou chrysanthemum flower pedals with water, soaking the Chuzhou chrysanthemum flower pedals for 15-19 seconds by using warm water with temperature of 75-90 DEG C, and draining for later use; mixing the water chestnut starch and half of the clear water and stirring till forming raw pulp without particles, and filtering for later use; boiling the other half of clear water, pouring the white granulated sugar into the boiling clear water to obtain sugar solution; pouring the sugar solution into 1/10-2/10 of the raw pulp, stirring, and boiling to form cooked pulp; rapidly pouring the cooked pulp into the rest raw pulp, stirring continuously, and forming the raw and cooked pulp; placing the Chuzhou chrysanthemum flower pedals into the raw and cooked pulp, stirring, and pouring into a steaming pan at 2-4 times, wherein the raw and cooked pulp is steamed for 4-5 minutes by using high fire after the raw and cooked pulp is poured each time, and then new raw and cooked pulp is poured; cooling after steaming, and slicing, thus obtaining the finished product chrysanthemum flower cake.
