Osmotic pressure and structure of aqueous solutions of Triton X-100

The osmotic pressure of aqueous solutions of Triton X-100 was measured in the concentration range from 20 to 98 wt %. An empirical relationship between the osmotic pressure and the weight concentration of Triton X-100 was established. The structural parameters of the micellar, hexagonal, and lamellar mesophases formed by Triton X-100 were determined by small-angle X-ray scattering and small-angle neutron scattering.
