Effects of Different Plant Growth Regulators on the Senescence of Maize Leaves and Yield

With the field and pot experiments, effects of seed dressing with different plant growth regulators on maize leaves senescence and yield were studied. The results showed that all the plant growth regulators used in this experiment could increase the activity of leaves SOD and LAI, reduce the accumulation of MDA, and prolong the leaves senescence at the late growth stage. The treatment C could significantly improve spike characteristics and in-crease yield of maize by 9.04%.
