Abstract: The survey was conducted in the Plant Clinic CCHSA- UFPB / Campus III- Banana -PB , aiming to determine the part of the plant and the most attractive genotype to Cosmopolites sordidus . We evaluated the attractiveness of rhizome fragments and pseudostem varieties fdois genotypes of Musa sp : cv . Pacova and cv.nanica . Was used as a means of measuring the attractiveness \ repellency adapted olfactometer , with 04 cameras ( arenas ) , two of them containing evaluated tissue fragments , interconnected to a central arena, release of insects, for choice. There were 11 replications / test , reflecting the individual frequency of choice of the insects in each chamber . The results after submitted to statistical analysis , using the chi -square test ( X2 ) revealed the attraction olfactory preferably of insects for each cultivar and evaluated tissue. Most preferably was Nanica with the growing ( 81.81 %) for the pseudo tissue ( P < 0.001).
