Anti-fouling surface structure and motor vehicle component

This anti-fouling surface structure is provided with a substrate having a fine uneven structure, and a dirt lubricating liquid that is held on the substrate. The dirt lubricating liquid includes a lubricant agent, and the surface of the substrate is bonded with at least one type of lubricant agent by a hydrogen bond and/or a covalent bond. The hydrogen bond and/or covalent bond are formed by at least one type of functional group selected from the group consisting of a silanol group, an alkoxysilyl group, a chlorosilyl group, and an acetoxysilyl group. Either there is a metal oxide layer on the surface of the substrate, or the substrate itself is formed of a metal oxide. This motor vehicle component is provided with such an anti-fouling surface structure.
