Chapter 21. Protein tyrosine phosphatase inhibition

2000
Abstract It has been established in a number of biological studies that the PTP's represent valid therapeutic targets for a number of diseases states. Both potent and selective inhibitors have been discovered along with a variety of useful phosphomimetics that may be incorporated into a variety of frameworks. Several of these inhibitors have shown useful in vivo activity, particularly in animal models of diabetes.
