Sub wavelength dielectric elliptical element as an anisotropic magnetic dipole for inversions of magnetic field

2018
This paper proposes an experimental and model investigation of displacement current generated in a flat dielectric circuit of elliptical shape, subjected to an incident microwave. All-dielectric sub wavelength magnetic dipoles providing the inversions of magnetic inductance are designed and tested. Experimental results demonstrate the angular anisotropy of these dipoles, manifested in the dependence of depths of resonant spectral dips upon the orientation of dipoles, with respect to the direction of propagation of incident microwave.
