Evidence-based practice. Guidelines for managing peripheral intravascular access devices.

A project of the Hong Kong Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing Practice and Midwifery (HKEBN) is presented in this article. The authors share their experiences in implementing evidence-based nursing practice guidelines for the management of peripheral intravascular access device (PIVAD) 1. In one hospital in Hong Kong. The aim of the project was to improve nursing practice and demonstrate the value of improved nursing care in enhancing patient outcomes.
