Ultra-wideband signal detection using photonic signal preprocessing

Photonic time-stretch processor can be used to slow down electrical ultra-wideband waveform before it is captured by an electronic digitizer. Using this technique, a real-time transient digitizer with a record one-tera-sample/sec sampling rate is demonstrated.
