Numerical Simulation and Experiment of Effect of Paddle Speed of Feed Frame on the Filling Property of Tablet Press

The feed frame of GZPK3037 high-speed rotary tablet press was investigated in this paper.Numerical simulations and experiments were carried out to discuss the effects of different paddle speed of feed frame on the filling property of tablet press.Euler equations were solved using the finite volume method.The calculation results were in good agreement with the test data.The results showed that the mass flow of outlet powder rate was the highest and the tablet weight difference was the lowest when the paddle speed was 60 r/min.Thus,the fluidity and filling property of powder were the best.
