Migration of a Broken Kirschner Pin Presenting as a Palpable Neck Mass: A Case Report and Review of Literature

Although pinning is less popular nowadays for internal fixation of fractured bone, it was a common orthopedic practice in the past. Pin-migration from the locations of internal fixation to various parts of the human body leading to different kinds of clinical complications was occasionally reported in the literature. Herein we report a case of a broken Kirschner pin migrated to the neck who presented to the emergency department as a palpable neck mass.
