Gullodus n. gen. - A New Conodont Genus and Remarks to the Pelagic Permian and Triassic of Western Sicily

Conodontfaunasfrom the Middle Permianlimestoneblocks of the SosioValleyarea,westernSicily, contain a very distinctive newconodontgenus, Gullodusn. gen. The Paleoecologyof Gullodusand, in connection with this, the paleogeographicposition of the Sosio limestone blocks within the Sicanianpaleogeographicdomainare discussed.A revisedstratigraphic column of the pelagic Permianand Triassicof western Sicily is presented.
