Fermi surface of noble metals using the eight‐cone model

It is shown that the eight-cone model together with a non-local pseudopotential can give a good representation of the Fermi surface geometry of the noble metals. However, it is unable to give the correct anisotropy of the electron velocity at the Fermi surface.
