An arrangement for generating a triggering signal for restraint means and method for triggering restraint means in a vehicle

With the present invention it is proposed to refine the criteria for triggering the impact situations provided for restraint means. DOLLAR A purpose are proposed an arrangement (1) as well as a method for generating a trigger signal (10) for restraint means in a vehicle, wherein the restraint means in the event of an impact of the vehicle - front impact, side impact - are provided. The arrangement (1) comprises means for detecting an impact (4) that generate, in the case of an impact, a request signal (5) for the impact mode corresponding retaining means, and means for detecting a rotational movement (6) of the vehicle about at least one vehicle axis - longitudinal axis (x) and / or transverse axis (y) -, which generate a corresponding status signal (7). According to the invention a circuit (11, 21, 31) is provided for generating a trigger signal (10) which links the request signal (5) with the status signal (7), so that in the decision about the triggering of restraint means the information about the possible occurrence or existence of a rotational movement into account.
