Anaphylaxis Followed by Reversible Myocardial Ischemia: A Case Report

1996
We report a case of ventricular tachycardia and transient ST-segment depression and T wave invertion in a 38-year-old woman who developed anaphylactic shock, following an intrathecal injection of lotrolan 10 ml(Isovist-300) for a lumbar spine myelography. The patient denied pre-existing cardiac disease or drug allergy. An anaphylactoid reaction can occur after the initial linjection of iodinated contrast media through an IgE-mediated hypersensitivity reaction.
