Analysis of the Causes of Uremic Lung Misdiagnosed as Pulmonary Infection

Objective To explore the clinical and imaging characteristics of uremic lung to reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.Methods The clinical data of a patient with uremic lung was retrospectively analyzed.Results The patient was admitted for fever and respiratory symptoms.He failed to response to anti-infective therapy outside hospital as pulmonary infection.Based on his chest CT imaging and laboratory examinations in our hospital,his final diagnosis was uremic lung.Anti-infective therapy and haemodialysis were performed,and the patient's respiratory symptoms were relieved after treatment.Conclusion Pulmonary damage caused by uremia should be stressed in the clinical practice.Chest x-ray examination is to some extent helpful in diagnosis.Adequate hemodialysis can improve pathogenetic condition.
