Analysis on Measles Epidemiology in Suiyang District of Shangqiu City

Objective To analyze the epidemiological situation of measles in Suiyang district and to direct the measles control better in the future. Methods The data of measles reported by the measles surveillance in Suiyang district in 2001. Results 85cases of measles were reported in the year. Most of the measles cases were children under 3years old(47.1%).The measles in country were much obviously higher than that in urban. Conclusion The first reason for measles ongoing rate attributed to the low immunization coverage rate, and the second is the failure of vaccination. All of the above indicated that we must grasp firmly the routine immunization service or launch measles vaccine mass campaign,and raise the measles immune level of the population to prevent and control measles epidemic.
