The research aims to evaluate the attractiveness of Metamasius hemipterus by L. rhizome fragments and pseudostem varieties of two genotypes of Musa sp: cv. apple and hp. Silver. Conducted depending on the Plant Clinic CCHSA- UFPB / Campus, III-Bananaira -PB. Was used as a means of measuring the attractiveness \ repellency adapted olfactometer, with 04 cameras (arenas), two of them containing evaluated tissue fragments, using two pieces of each variety (pseudostem and rhizome) interconnected to a central arena , release of insects, for choice. For each test 11 repetitions were performed, the plants were harvested at the ends of the agriculture sector of UFPB- Banana fields III. The results after submitted to statistical analysis, using the chi-square test (X2). They showed most preferably by cultivating silver (81.81%) of pseudo attractiveness to (P <0.001).
