Development and Preparation of Titanium Oxide Photocatalysts

Nanometer titanium dioxide is a new kind high-efficient degradation photocatalysts which has the innoxious and no-secondary contaminated property,nowadays being applied extensively in treating and degrading organic contaminations from waste water or air in environmental research fields.Firstly this article provides some advanced,mature and technical preparation methods of highly reactive titanium oxide as being photocatalysts.Secondly this review elaborates three aspects: modification and visible—light sensitizing of photocatalysts ,enhancing research in new-type photocatalytic reactors.Finally,we put forward some problems which need to be solved in the current research field of photocatalysis,moreover state a vast prospects for making further expansion of the actual application of photocatalytically degrading organic matter with TiO_2.
