Teaching Millennials with Creative Pedagogies Based on Their Emodemands

2018
This research seeks to characterize young people currently enrolled in university understanding their pedagogical demands. According to Sinek, these youngsters are not yet fit to survive in the working world, since they grew up believing that they were “special,” which Fernandez contradicts by saying that he would like to have the “talent, ethics and work capacity” of this generation. The debate warrants a substantial change in the forms of education. The face-to-face and virtual university are models that must be further developed to continue to exist, evolving in university 4.0 with teachers who model their teaching styles to pedagogical-emotional demands. Millennials have a functional advantage in the use of technology, since they are always connected to the Internet and have a sense of belonging to a community that is their own, and facilitates their individual and shared work in a ubiquitous way.
