The Rehabilitative Evaluation of Respiratory Training in Patients with COPD Complicating Spontaneous Pneumothorax after Clinical Cure

Objective To estimate the effect of shorten lip-abdominal respiration training in patients with COPD complicating spontaneous pneumothorax after clinical cure.Methods After clinical cure,48 patients with COPD complicating spontaneous pneumothorax were randomly divided into control group and intervention group.The patients of control group were not given other adjuvant treatment after discharging from hospital,but the patients of intervention group were underwent shorten lip-abdominal respiration training.The breathing frequency,arterial blood gas analysis,6 minutes walking distance,dyspnea score of patients were recorded at dishcharging from hospital,4 weeks,8 weeks,1 year after discharging,respectively.Results The indexes of control group had no significant change at all the time points.The breathing frequency,arterial blood gas analysis,6 minutes walking distance and dyspnea score of intervention group were obviously improved.But the percentage of FEV1 account predicted value had no significant change in intervention group.Conclusion Respiratory training could effectively improve the oxygenation and pulmonary function of patients with COPD complicating spontaneous pneumothorax after clinical cure.
