Discussões preliminares sobre serendipidade, bicicleta e turismo envolvendo a ilha de paquetá no rio de janeiro (rj)

The present work has been presented at Colloquium Tourism and Cities occurred on Federal University of State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) on June 16th, 2015, on Session 3 about Tourist Mobility and Transportation. The aim of this study is the preliminary discussion between serendipity, bicycle use and the tourism focusing on Paqueta Island, located on Rio de Janeiro’s city. The study is exploratory and the results show the potential for the development of cycle tourism on this island (either on predetermined or independents paths) including the serendipity as a differential to be discussed.
