On the Response Matrix–Constant Nodal method applied to SN problems with arbitrary L’th-order anisotropic scattering

2021
Abstract In this technical note, the spectral Response Matrix–Constant Nodal (RM–CN) method is applied to numerically solve multigroup X , Y -geometry problems in the discrete ordinates formulation with anisotropic scattering including upscattering events. To achieve this goal, the RM–CN equations are applied to L’th-order scattering anisotropy, and are solved with the partial one-node block inversion iterative scheme. The method has generated accurate numerical results to test problems. The results to two representative test problems are presented and discussed in this note.
