The invention relates to an illumination system (7), particularly for headlamp (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising a rigid plate (9) printed circuit equipped with light emitting diodes, characterized in that the rigid plate (9) is arranged parallel to an illumination direction (L) of predetermined lighting system and in that the illumination system (7) comprises an optical module (11) configured to propagate and guide the light beams emitted by the LEDs so that each outgoing light beam from said optical module (11) is substantially parallel to the illumination direction (L).
