Radio set AN/URC-78 (XE-2)/V. Quarterly report No. 5, 17 Jun--16 Sep 1972

The Receiver-Transmitter circuit design was essentially completed, and most hybrids have been fabricated. The first set of modules is being integrated and the first three cases have been fabricated and are being wired. Circuit design of the Vehicular Applique and Vehicular Antenna Coupler is largely completed and the mechanical design work is underway. Hybrid circuit layout will soon start in these areas. Comments have been received on the Life Cycle Cost of Ownership Report and responses and corrections are being prepared. An EMP test is being planned in response to comments on the Nuclear Hardening portion of the Design Plan. (GRA)
