Progress in the management of renovascular hypertension

Renovascular hypertension caused by severe renal artery stenosis is not uncommon in secondary hypertension.Atherosclerosis and arortoarteritis are the most common causes of renal artery stenosis in chinese.Severe renal artery steno-sis causes accelerated or malignant hypertension,ischemic nephropathy and related complications.This article reviews some key issues in the management of renovascular hypertension.
