Voz del niño

2006
In the course of someone's life, the voice undergoes various changes due to developmental factors, in which the nervous system and hormonal system play a decisive role. The child's voice, and therefore any dysphonia in children, requires precise and specific assessment, not only from the instrumental point of view, but also in terms of perception and evaluation for speech therapy. It is emphasised that protocols need to be developed for voice disorders in children, in which etiological factors, predisposing factors and aspects of prevention and vocal hygiene need to be taken into account in order to prevent voice disorders and organic injuries of the larynx from developing which may cause problems in adult life.
