Lateral sinus thrombosis (LST) is a rare and major complication of middle ear disease, and its mortatilty rate vary between 5-35%. Conputed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MR) and angiography are important complementary exams, however the final diagnosis is made by surgical exploration. One case of a young patient with chronic cholesteatomatous otitis media, who developed LST is presented, and a literature review is made.
