Nonlinear absorption of p-polarized electromagnetic waves by plasma slabs

A steady state nonlinear bleaching of a plasma slab due to formation of self-consistent density distribution which sustain quasisurface modes is considered when there is a collisional loss in the medium. The possibility of resonant absorption is also considered. (AIP)
