Research progress in effects of promoters on supported nickel-based CO_2 methanation catalysts

The research progresses in the effects of noble metal, alkaline earth metal, rare earth and transition metal promoters on nickel-based catalysts in dispersion, reducibility, bimetallic synergistic effect, structural stability and the reaction rate and selectivity for CO2 methanation were introduced, and the mechanisms of the promoters modifying nickel-based catalysts were discussed. It was proposed that non-noble metal promoters and composite promoters would be the focus of future research.
