Digital measurement of partial discharges in generator stator bar insulation during aging test

With the development of computer and electronics techniques, digital measurement of partial discharge (PD) has become feasible, which can yield more information on PD. In this paper, the design of a novel digital PD detector is described in detail. Application of the detector to stator bars which suffer from PD during accelerated aging test is shown.
