Analysis on epidemiologic characteristic of other infectious diarrhea in Gongming street,Shenzhen 2005-2010

Objective To analyze epidemiology characteristics of other infectious diarrhea in Gongming street of Shenzhen and provide scientific evidence for preventing and controlling measure of this disease.Method The data of other infectious diarrhea cases reported by national diseases information management system were analyzed by descriptive epidemiology method.Results During 2005-2010,9 258 cases of other infectious diarrhea were reported in Gongming street,with mean incidence rate of 214.64 /10 5.90.38% of patients were children under 5 years old,and 91.00% of the cases were scattered children.The peak season was from October to December.The first 5 districts with high cases reported were Jiangshi,Gongming,Shangcun,Heshuikou,Changzhen.4 966 cases,accounting for 53.64% of total reported cases,were diagnosed with Rotavirus infection.Conclusions In Gongming street,the other infectious diarrhea mainly occurred in 0-5 year old scattered children,and the incidence peak was in autumn and winter seasons.Rotavirus was the major pathogen.
