Role of Escherichia coli Pili Adhesion Molecule to Inhibit Escherichia coli Adhesion to Human Spermatozoa In vitro

2013
Role of Escherichia coli Pili Adhesion Molecule to Inhibit Escherichia coli Adhesion to Human Spermatozoa In vitro To investigate capacity of adhesin molecule to inhibit the adhesion of Escherichia coli (E. coli) to human spermatozoa in vitro. E. coli was obtained by culturing the semen of infertile males. Spermatozoa were taken from healthy donors with normal spermatozoa according to WHO criteria (1999). Pili cutting were performed five times gradually using omnimixer. To find the factions of pili and protein with highest hemagglutinin protein titer, we performed hemagglutination test. Protein isolation was performed using SDS PAGE electrophoresis, electroelusion, dialysis and precipitation. Protein concentration estimation was conducted using Biuret assay method. Spermatozoa were prepared with Sil Select Plus.
