Analysis on data of notifiable infectious diseases in Shiyan City of Hubei Province 2004-2010

[Objective]To analyze the epidemic situation of notifiable infectious diseases since implementation of direct network report in Shiyan City,provide the scientific basis for prevention and control of notifiable infectious diseases in the future. [Methods]The descriptive epidemiological analysis was adopted. [Results]There was no category A infectious diseases case in Shiyan City during 2004-2010.A total of 84 559 cases of 19 kinds of category B infectious diseases were reported,164 cases died,the average annual incidence rate was 336.37/lakh,and the mortality rate was 0.71/lakh.39 013 cases of 8 kinds of category C infectious diseases were reported,1 case died,and the average annual incidence rate was 169.03/lakh.The reported incidence rate of category B infectious diseases in Shiyan city increased by 72.24% compared with that during 1997-2003.The reported incidence rate of category B infectious diseases in Shiyan urban area was significantly higher than that in counties.Most of cases were farmers,students and people under 15 years old.After implementation of direct network report,the timeliness and accuracy of infectious diseases reports were enhanced greatly. [Conclusion]According to the key diseases of hepatitis B,pulmonary tuberculosis and epidemic parotitis,key population of farmer and student,and key area of Shiyan urban area,the effective control measures should be carried out,so as to continuously control the incidence rate of notifiable infectious diseases in Shiyan City.
