Compreensão de uma comunidade rural acerca dos princípios do sus: estudo sociopoético

ABSTRACTObjective: To explain, through a comprehensive approach, the notions derived from experiences of health processeswith SUS, from a rural community in the interior of Ceara, in terms of the principles. Method: Qualitative, descriptive,sociopoetical study. The data were collected / produced through six workshops during the months of September toNovember 2014. It was based on the analysis of Bardin. Ethical precepts were respected. Main results: Twenty-four subjects participated in the study, which reported different speeches synthesized in nine thematic units interrelated withSUS principles: religiosity, biomedical model and drug use, structure and organization, environment, political relations,listening and dialogue, family welfare, food education, and immediate care. Conclusion: The users have theoretical knowledge about SUS principles in their own way. In the practical field, they recognize their rights, and understand well thatwhen there are failures in the health system, there is no meeting of their needs.Keywords: Nursing; Public Health Systems Research; Social Perception; Consumer Participation; Democracy
