Tuberose Sclerosis in Children: an EEG Study

SUMMARY The main clinical, EEG and neuroradiological features are reported in 12 children with tuberose sclerosis, first seen between the ages of 10 months and 10 years. Six of the infants had a history of infantile spasms in early life. Tuberose sclerosis is not usually a static illness, and considerable clinical and EEG changes may occur in these patients over the years. RESUME La sclerose tubereuse chez les enfants: une etude electroencephalographique Les signes cliniques, electroencephalographiques et neuroradiologiques observes chez 12 enfants atteints de sclerose tubereuse sont decrits. La maladie a ete decouverte entre les âges de 10 mois et 10 ans. Six enfants avaient une histoire de ‘spasmes infantiles’. La sclerose tubereuse n'est pas d'habitude une maladie statique, et des changements cliniques et EEG considerables survient chez les malades suivis au cours de plusieurs ans.
