Vanadium doping of LiMnPO4: Vibrational spectroscopy and first-principle studies

Abstract The samples of pure and 10% vanadium-doped LiMnPO 4 have been synthesized by the solid-state reaction technique. The results of Raman and infrared absorption spectroscopy show that the vanadium atoms replace phosphorus giving rise to LiMn(PO 4 ) 1− x (VO 4 ) x solid solutions. This conclusion is confirmed by the first-principle studies.
