Vascular trauma in children and adolescents

Abstract Fifty-nine cases of major vascular trauma in childhood are presented. The principles of evaluation and the role of various factors in long-term results are explored. Surgical treatment and results are discussed. There was no mortality. There were four amputations. There was a 9.6 percent incidence of major morbidity and a 24 percent incidence of minor morbidity.
