Beardius reissi Jacobsen, 2000 (Diptera, Chironomidae, Chironominae), recorded for the first time from the Republic of Cuba

Beardius reissi Jacobsen, 2000 is recorded for the first time from the Republic of Cuba. The larva was found in a shallow lagoon and associated with Ludgiwia leptocarpa (Nutt.) H. Hara, 1953.
